Using Edit mode

Perform all of your image adjustments in Edit mode.

  • Use the editing tools to apply adjustments to the entire image or to selected parts of the image.
  • Add final touches to your image such as borders, text, and special effects.
  • Use the tools to fix red eye or remove flaws from your image.
  • Discard your edit changes and revert back to the original.

ACDSee Photo Manager tip Using Edit mode

You can easily group your images in Manage mode so that you can find the images that have been edited. Use the Group By feature and select Edited State.

To open an image in Edit mode:

Do one of the following:

  • In Manage mode, select an image and click Edit.
  • In View mode, select an image and click Edit.

Edit mode contains the following groups:

Selections

Select a specific area of an image to edit.

Repair

Repair red eye, or remove flaws using the Heal or Clone tool.

Add

Prepare photos for publishing by adding text, borders, vignette, or artistic effects.

Geometry

Rotate, flip, crop, and resize images.

Exposure/Lighting

Improve lighting and contrast by adjusting the Exposure, Levels, Auto Levels, Tone Curves, and Lighting tools.

Color

Apply color corrections to white balance, hue, saturation, and lightness.

Detail

Increase sharpness, remove noise, or apply blur to an image.
